We develop useful digital applications for Alzheimer Nederland that further support the organization. We assist in the early detection of dementia, promote dementia awareness among all municipalities in the Netherlands, offer a validated online memory test, and provide assistance to the organization's volunteers in their daily tasks.

DementieScan

With the online application DementieScan, the many volunteers of Alzheimer Nederland can assess whether a municipality is dementia-friendly using a questionnaire. The volunteer examines seven general themes at the municipality, with a total of 35 questions. The results provide a clear indication of the challenges the municipality faces, and you can compare these results with those from the region. The questionnaire is reviewed periodically to track whether a municipality has made improvements.

Application: Geheugentest

The Memory Test (Geheugentest) provides immediate insight into the degree of forgetfulness. Originally, this highly popular test was hosted on Alzheimer Nederland's website. However, it encountered issues during peak usage times. CanvasHeroes was tasked with completely rebuilding the website and utilizing Serverless techniques, among others, to handle peak loads. The Memory Test can now handle 18,000 unique visitors per minute without any issues.
